5月20日，中國國際電視臺(tái)CGTN（原中央電視臺(tái)英文新聞?lì)l道CCTV NEWS）以《Coronavirus Pandemic: Chengdu's TCM practitioners share Wuhan frontline experience》報(bào)道了我院扈曉宇和張傳濤團(tuán)隊(duì)在武漢運(yùn)用中西醫(yī)結(jié)合方式治療新冠肺炎取得良好療效的故事，時(shí)長2分55秒。

具體內(nèi)容如下：

The age-old Traditional Chinese Medicine has become a go-to treatment for COVID-19. During the initial outbreak in Wuhan, TCM, coupled with western treatments, were highly effective. Wei Lynn Tang catches up with two physicians in this area, in Chengdu. They were among the doctors who were sent to work in Wuhan earlier this year.

古老的中藥已成為治療新冠肺炎的一種有效手段。在武漢疫情暴發(fā)初期，中醫(yī)西結(jié)合治療效果顯著。在今年早些時(shí)候去武漢抗疫的醫(yī)生中，Wei Lynn Tang記者在成都找到了其中的兩位。

Bitter almond, white prepared lateral root, gypsum, these are just some of the ingredients used to make a traditional Chinese medicinal decoction.

苦杏仁、附子、石膏，這些都只是用來制作中藥湯劑的一些藥物。

And one that is used, among others, by doctors here in Chengdu, to treat COVID-19 patients in Wuhan. Doctor Hu Xiaoyu, who has over 20 years of infectious disease experience under his belt, spent a month in the central Chinese city.

其中一種被成都的醫(yī)生用來治療武漢的新冠肺炎患者。扈曉宇醫(yī)生在武漢這座華中城市呆了一個(gè)月，他有20多年的傳染病診療經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

HU XIAOYU Director, Infectious Disease Department Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine "TCM has played a very important role in this fight against COVID-19. My team treated 176 patients in Wuhan, of whom 174 including 64 severe and critically ill ones took TCM alongside Western treatment. Due to the intervention of TCM, we didn't need to use any tracheal intubation, ECMO or invasive mechanical ventilation in the treatment process. The two patients who did not take TCM unfortunately died."

成都中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)附屬醫(yī)院傳染病科主任扈曉宇說“中醫(yī)藥在抗擊新冠肺炎疫情中發(fā)揮了非常重要的作用。我們的團(tuán)隊(duì)在武漢治療了176例患者，其中174例（包括重癥和危重癥患者64例）采用中西醫(yī)結(jié)合治療。因?yàn)橛辛酥嗅t(yī)藥的干預(yù)，我們?cè)谥委熯^程中就沒有再使用氣管插管、體外肺膜氧合機(jī)（ECMO）或有創(chuàng)機(jī)械通氣等方法。兩名沒有服用中藥的病人不幸死亡。”

I asked Doctor Hu if this is conclusive enough to prove the efficacy of TCM in fighting COVID-19.

我問扈醫(yī)生這是否足以證明中醫(yī)藥治療新冠肺炎的療效。

HU XIAOYU Director, Infectious Disease Department Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine "To get a more general conclusion, we still need to find more control groups to further analyze our data. But I think we can draw part of a conclusion here. Patients who receive our TCM prescriptions saw an improvement in their CT scans, negative conversion of their nucleic acid tests, and faster discharge time from the hospital. In our two-week clinical observation, the group who took TCM alongside Western treatment did BETTER than those who took ONLY Western medication."

扈主任說：“要得出更普遍的結(jié)論，我們還需要找到更多的對(duì)照組來進(jìn)一步分析我們的數(shù)據(jù)。但我想我們可以得出部分結(jié)論。服用了我們的中藥方劑的患者，在CT與核酸檢測轉(zhuǎn)陰方面有所改善、出院時(shí)間加快了。在我們?yōu)槠趦芍艿呐R床觀察中，中西醫(yī)結(jié)合組比西藥組療效更好。”

Doctor Zhang Chuantao also led a team to Wuhan. He says TCM has been 85 percent effective among the 156 patients he treated. Clinical symptoms such as fever, cough, and tightness of the chest, have been reduced.

張傳濤醫(yī)生也帶隊(duì)前往武漢。他說，在他（團(tuán)隊(duì)）治療的156名患者中，中醫(yī)藥的有效率達(dá)到了85%。發(fā)熱，咳嗽，胸悶等臨床癥狀減輕。

ZHANG CHUANTAO Deputy Director, Respiratory Department Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine "We gave him oxygen therapy and also a TCM prescription of Huo Pu Xia Ling Tang and Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang. His breathing improved on the second day and he could even get out of bed. We then re-adjusted his prescription after."

張傳濤醫(yī)生是成都中醫(yī)藥大學(xué)呼吸內(nèi)科副主任，他說“我們給他（患者）做了氧療，還開了藿樸夏苓湯、麻杏石甘湯。第二天，患者的呼吸有所改善，甚至可以下床了。然后，我們重新調(diào)整了他的處方。”

Acknowledging that a systemic evaluation of TCM should be strengthened, both Doctors Zhang and Hu believe more people, especially skeptics, should also look at TCM with a fairer mindset and approach. WLT, CGTN, Chengdu.

張醫(yī)生和扈醫(yī)生都認(rèn)為，中醫(yī)藥療效的系統(tǒng)評(píng)估有待加強(qiáng)，更多的人，尤其是持懷疑態(tài)度者，也應(yīng)該以更公平的心態(tài)和方式看待中醫(yī)藥。
